This is a blog written by Corinne and is about my activities in my small native plant nursery and on our home block in country South Australia. 30 years ago I discovered that Australian native plants could be grown from seed and cuttings, just like exotic plants. I don’t know what I thought happened but it was quite a revelation. From that moment, I was hooked.

In 1976 I became a member of the Australian Plants Society, SA Region, based in Adelaide, South Australia. I still have the magazines from that time to the most recent. They are a great resource of information.

My propagation activities have progressed from a few pots covered with a plastic bag or sheet of glass, to various cold frames similarly covered, to a cyclone wire mesh igloo covered in plastic, to my current hothouse purpose built by my husband. (He also made my work shed with the bench made to my height…”stand here and I’ll measure the height against you”.)
